NEW START UP SIGN COMPANY OPENS WITH REVOLUTIONARY SIGN PRINTING TECHNOLOGY
(SAN ANTONIO) – On Wednesday, July 9, Cold Fire Signs will be one of the first sign printing companies in the world to place the Gerber Solara Ion™ printer from Gerber Scientific Products into production. The adoption of this new state-of-the-art technology makes the new San Antonio-based company an industry leader in field of environmentally-friendly sign printing.
The revolutionary new printing technology, utilizing Cold Fire Cure™ technology, requires lower energy, less heat and eliminates up to 50% of waste created by conventional sign-making techniques. According to Cold Fire Signs founder Chris Jackson, the company will be able to offer customers a high-quality and incredibly eco-friendly printing option via the Gerber Solara Ion™.
The Gerber Solara Ion™ is the most versatile printer in the world, with true flatbed and true roll-to-roll printer functionality, making it usable in myriad sign making and digital graphic printing applications. It offers expanded color gamut and vibrancy, while generating no environmental ozone or VOC’s.
“I’ve been involved in the sign business for 17 years now,” said Jackson. “I started early on as a youngster taking out the trash. I got to see first hand, at the beginning of my sign making career, that there was a lot of waste involved in sign making. I thought there had to be a better way, but after a few years, I accepted that there wasn’t. That is until now with technological advances such as direct-to-substrate flatbed printing, and Cold Fire Cure™ which have eliminated a great deal of the waste from the manufacturing process. This print technology has given us a foundation to become one of the greenest sign-making companies in the world. We’re starting this business with processes that help our environment.”
Cold Fire Signs will be offering customers a range of printed signs, including banners, corrugated plastic signs, real estate signs, exhibits and displays, labels and decals, lobby logos, posters, vehicle graphics, and a wide variety of greener sign solutions. The company is located at 4712 Research Drive in San Antonio. The company’s website is at www.coldfiresigns.com.
