(formerly Westin La Cantera)
July 2009

This four star hill country resort had a nature trail that was not being advertised or utilized by its resort guests. The asked Cold Fire for help. Cold Fire came up with a concept from scratch which included the unique rustic style and design of the signage. The posts are raw cedar fence posts with aluminum signs fastened to the posts. Not visible fasteners where used to attach the signs to the posts. The trail head signage was also made with finished cedar and aluminum sign panels. The holes we’re drilled with a tractor post hole digger in the rocky hills in Northwest San Antonio. There were 28 holes dug in one day. The signs were then set the next two days with a two-man crew. The project took two weeks from start of design to completion of installation. Just in time for the July 4th holiday.
